The fire that would never blow out!

All the famous quotes by the great Dr. Kalam are floating around on all the social networking sites. It is great to see some positivity float around in time of a sad demise. It shows the many hearts and minds, his learned wisdom has touched and inspired.
I have definitely found him to be a remarkable human being. During my final year in school, he was visiting our neighbor school. We had a few friends chosen to attend the gathering he was addressing. Well, No, I wasn't chosen! But I did remember the pride and inspiration with which my friends returned and shared their experiences the next day. I definitely envied them.
Even after he moved out of the Presidents chair, he made it to the news for his work with the young and his vision for India. Photographs appeared in the print media of him addressing large gatherings of little children with his innocent smile.
Last night when we got to hear the shocking news of his sudden death, I definitely felt the grief in everyone's voice, even the really outspoken and brazen newsreaders. Such was the admiration and inspiration he invoked in all. I see no contemporaries in this generation who would command that kind of respect and reverence. I marveled at how he went away from this earth. The last few minutes of his life, on his feet, delivering a lecture to students who were waiting to be inspired. How passionate can a person be. It is definitely heard to keep the fire burning, let alone at the wise old age of 83. Wow! What a way to bid good-bye to this life.
I've always noticed, it is only after the person leaves this life on earth, that everyone gets to hear out loud, of the life led by the individual. Last night was no different, with everyone repeatedly relaying his long list of achievements  accomplished during his life. His humble beginning from a newspaper boy to an intellectual rocket scientist to the highly-posted President of India to a great Teacher for the young generation. He inspired everyone around.
Short clippings of interviews, which were replayed on the screen, revealed the vigor and the enthusiasm in him, of that of a little child. All his sentences and quotes exemplified about how one needs to work with passion, doing what one loves and dreaming with fire.
The fire and vision that he had for India is something we'd say far fetched. But the vigor in which he worked towards it  and professed about it to little children and youth, definitely gives me a hope that his efforts would not go wary.

Like he said "Life is no rocket-science". Pray we able to live life with the same joy, vigor and eagerness. Hope we lose our apprehensions and lazed reaction to all the happenings around us. And take it into our systems to make small changes in the ones around!
