Wrong side of the balance beam!!

Ah .. the attrocities in the world.

Injustice flies from one end to the other like a poison coated spear.

Attrocities knows no bound in a world we live in. It is hard to look at the good side of things when you see blatant injustice. Well, it is one thing to be a pessimist and see only the dark side of things and another to actually go throught the dark horrendous side by being an optimist.
We go through life as a sailor on a ship who actually got the "MayDay Mayday"call from the Titanic but don't do a thing. But later we sympathise saying "Poor them!"

We take a good look at the pity plight. We scan every nook and corner of the newspaper, so that you well informed about the incident and also you'd have enough to talk about it at the lunch table with your mates. We raise eyebrows if required. But when it comes to actually do something, we wash our hands off it. And we behave as though nothing ever happenend and it is in no way going to effect a bone of ours.
And the 'we', im pretty sure, includes the one writting the post. And I'm not proud about that.

We all watched "Satyamev Jayathe" yesterday. We shed a few tears. We had trouble even immagining that little girls were not wanted in this world. The little girl foetuses were crushed in the womb even before they could do a happy swim in their placental fluid. Well, this is something we all are aware long time ago. Everyone in India, poor or rich, know that a "female" is not the most wanted gender in the whole of India. But all we could do is act sympathetic while watching a well established actor making an effort to get the world to understand that there is a problem. Ah!! the attrocity to an unborn child and a mother!

We walk through roads. Our hearts go out to the little street urchins, running around, pushing carts, carrying bricks, waiting on tables, they haven't got the liberty to study cause they have no money..!! What do we do? We let out a sympathetic expression saying "O, that's sad!"
We hear about little children getting abused. An age where everything is supposed to be carefree in their eyes is now filled with fear and regret and a wound that would marr their childhood.
We get to know about pot bellied/skinny kind of cops who turn a blind eye to all the murderous crime that happens around cause of their filled up money bags!!

Unlike the buck, injustice doesn't stop there.

Why is their so much of evil in the world you'd worry.

People have an ideology which states that there should be evil in the world to mantain the balance between good and bad. Well we'd feel the pain when we have to sit on the bad part of the balance beam. Wow, people and their ideologies. Right now I'd say the balance beam is toppling the other way.

Well, apart from writing a post I'm not sure what I intend to do. Me sitting on my extremely comfortable chair, am not aware of what needs to be done. I'm aware of the humungous work that is left to be done. But unaware on where to start.!Wish life didn't have so many battles to fight. Battles we wage on our fellow human beings.

Spectator to the Toppling Balance Beam,
Mabre.
